2/7    Emma Stone, La La Land
13/2   Isabelle Huppert, Elle
16/1   Natalie Portman, Jackie
66/1   Meryl Streep, Florence Foster Jenkins
80/1   Ruth Negga, Loving

Here’s my worst, most uneducated blog in the history of this site so far. I’ve only seen 2 of the 5 movies. I am not proud of this, but more importantly I want to stress that this is NOT my fault. Fuck the Academy for having 9 movies up for best picture but only one with a leading lady worth nominating for best actress. They’re saying its a weak category. That the actress can’t carry a movie despite an oscar-worthy performance. That sends a bad message and it also makes is so much harder for me to do my job. Where’s the consideration? It’s almost offensive how little they care about my time as a part time blogger.  I can’t find the time to watch Loving just because you want me to better at what I do. No.

Luckily I already know what’s going to happen.

WHO SHOULD/WILL WIN- Emma Stone, La La Land

Easy. In a category as weak as this she’s the all-star. I really wish they included Amy Adams in the nominees because she deserved it, but nope they’re preventing me from having to make a tough decision. So thanks? I don’t know, I was just yelling at them for making my life difficult but now I’m thanking them for making it easy. This category has my brain all mashed up and I don’t know what to do about it. All I know is Emma crushed it and she’ll look great accepting her Oscar on Sunday. Let’s just leave it at that.

It has to be said again

The fact that Meryl Streep got a nomination is bullshit and I won’t stop saying it. She did this for 2 hours.
