Holy hell… Apparently making a movie 80 years ago required a physicist and an artist on staff.. Not a guy who’s pretty good at art, you needed a god damn Rembrandt. I thought modern movies were hard to make with all the CGI and editing. But that involves hundreds of people working on those things, which is probably a hundred more people than they had back then.
Perfectly angled perspectives on top of a building? Glass panels with realistic scenes painted on them placed strategically in front of the camera? How long would that take?? My god can you imagine being the intern who knocks that over? I’m pretty sure people have been killed over less.
It’s a fact that my iphone has the capability to create better movies than these guys could have ever imagined.. It’s also a fact that I use my phone to crush candy and take pictures of dogs. Wild world.
